Throughout my extensive exploration of Iceland I have collected “landscape samples” in my sketchbooks. They work as memory capsules because a watercolor is the best way for me to remember a place, much more efficient than taking a picture. They usually take maximum 30 minutes to be completed.
From the westfjords to the highlands of Iceland, here are a few fragments :

Askja, july 2021

Kerlingarfjöll, july 2021

Kötlujökull, july 2020

Þakgil, july 2020

Hornstrandir, july 2020

Skaftafell, july 2020

Kötlujökull, august 2019

Vestmannaeyjar, august 2019
